Jill Melton, Editor in Chief


Jill Melton was named Editor in Chief of Relish magazine in August of 2005 and is responsible for the development of editorial content and overall direction of the magazine. She brings with her over 20 years of experience as food editor, registered dietitian, chef and author.

Before joining Relish, Jill was Editor in Chief of Cooking Smart magazine and a regular contributor to several Meredith publications.

From 1989 to 2004, Jill was at Cooking Light magazine, her last position was as Senior Editor/Food Editorial Director. During her tenure there, Jill was instrumental in guiding the editorial content and food style that made Cooking Light so successful.

A strong background in nutrition has been the foundation of Jill’s career. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nutrition from Ohio State University, and her master’s degree in public health nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, and then worked as both a public health nutritionist and nutrition consultant for several years before her tenure at Cooking Light.
