If I had to choose just one wine for the holidays, it might be a merry and bright Riesling from Germany. Whether they’re a little bit sweet or a little bit brisk, most star loads of fresh, luscious fruit that so many wine drinkers love. Their fruitiness is a good match for salty and spicy hors d’oeuvres, while their tangy acidity makes them shine with heftier foods, as well (roast turkey, anyone?)

St. Urbans-Hof Riesling 2006:

Two Princes Riesling, 2006:

Dr. L Riesling 2005:
The sweetest in this group, this is the wine to choose if you love, love, love a generous abundance of ripe, succulent fruit in your glass ($13)
