Onion Option

Here is our first official (and completely unglamorous) blog entry: Never attempt to store chopped onions in the fridge—not if there's anything else in there. They will make the entire fridge and all its contents taste of onions. I know—I did this over the weekend. Typically I store an onion half or quarter (unchopped) in a bag in the fridge, and this is fine. But I found myself with a cup of diced onion and tucked in the produce drawer. Next time I’ll put them in the freezer.
