OFFICIAL RULES
CONTEST ENTRANTS MUST BE LEGAL RESIDENTS OF ONE OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AT TIME OF ENTRY TO BE ELIGIBLE. VOID OUTSIDE THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Employees and directors of Publishing Group of America, Inc. (“PGA”), its affiliates, vendors and subsidiaries, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible to enter. PGA is not responsible for errors in the administration or fulfillment of this Contest, including without limitation mechanical, human, printing, distribution or production errors, and may modify or cancel this Contest based upon such error at its sole discretion without liability.
1) PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Contest begins at 12:01a.m. ET on May 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on May 31, 2008, when all entries must be received.
2) HOW TO ENTER: To enter, access the website at www.relishmag.com/blogs, create an account, and post a comment on the blog detailing your favorite kitchen tool. Limit one entry per person and per email address. Multiple entries submitted in violation of the previous sentence may be void. PGA assumes no responsibility for lost, late or misdirected entries or for any computer, online, telephone, or human error or technical malfunctions that may occur. All entries become the property of PGA and will not be acknowledged or returned. By providing your e-mail address, you grant PGA the right to send you commercial messages and to share your address with others, unless you opt-out of receiving such messages during the account registration process.
3) ORIGINAL WORK: Each entrant represents and warrants that his/her submission is an original work and that the entrant is the sole author with the full power to submit the same.
4) WINNER SELECTION: One (1) potential grand prize winner will be selected on or about June 10, 2008 by a panel of Relish editors selected by PGA. The winner will be selected from all eligible entries submitted by blog. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: (i) adherence to instructions regarding content of the blog post, (ii) originality, and (iii) creativity. The potential grand prize winner will be notified by email or postal mail. If the potential winner cannot be contacted or if any prize notification email or letter is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected by the judges from all non-winning entries. All decisions of the judges are final. Odds of winning depend on the number and quality of eligible entries received.
5) GRAND PRIZE: One (1) potential grand prize winner will receive one (1) Relish cookbook entitled “Relish: To Spice Up All of Life’s Little Moments.” The approximate retail value of the prize is $9.95. PGA reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value in the event the prize is unavailable. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Prize will be fulfilled by PGA no later than June 30, 2008.
6) TAXES: Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of winner.
7) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Contest entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for PGA to use the winner's name and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release and hold harmless PGA, its parent, subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, and each of their directors, officers, employees, independent contractors, representatives or agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from, relating to or in connection with this Contest or acceptance or use of the prize.
8) INTERNET: If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of PGA which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, PGA reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. PGA assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. PGA is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by PGA on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Contest. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, PGA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of the winner based on an E-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the E-mail address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted E-mail address.
9) OFFICIAL RULES; WHO WON: To receive a copy of the Official Rules or the name of the winner by mail, please send a self addressed stamped envelope to: Relish Blog Contest, c/o Publishing Group of America, 341 Cool Springs Blvd, Suite 400, Franklin, TN 37067 before July 30, 2008. Residents of WA and VT may omit return postage.
