Fresh Strawberry Pie
I have tried making this pie twice, both times not successfully.The first time the strawberry juice mixture did not cook long enough to thicken and hold the pie together. I just made it again this weekend, cooked the strawberry juice, cornstarch etc. till it was nice and thick, receipe called for 1 minute boil time, I cooked it for about 3 minutes. Once again when I went to cut the pie it was runny, not as bad as the first time, but still not solid enough to hold together. Has anyone else has this problem, and/or does anyone have a suggestion I might try. Thanks!
You probably need more cornstarch. As long as you add it gradually, don't be afraid to exceed what the recipe calls for.
