Hi Ho Cherry-O
Although the dog days of summer don't seem to be waning, the supply of fresh cherries in the market soon will be. So here's an idea for those last fresh cherries that's also a perfect antidote to the summer heat. Pit the cherries, sprinkle with sugar and serve with lemon frozen yogurt. If you serve them immediately, the sugar forms a crunchy sweet crust on the juicy cherries that's sublime with the creamy tart frozen yogurt. You can buy frozen yogurt at the store, but if you're a lemonhead and want the ultimate pucker experience, try ours. It's ridiculously simple‹you just need an ice cream maker. You can also stir freshly squeezed lemon juice into softened vanilla frozen yogurt for a reasonable stand-in. If you'd prefer a nice tart, go to relishmag.com for our Cherry Tart recipe. Hi ho summer.
