Made with white wine and a smidgen of crème de cassis liqueur, the Kir is a classic French apéritif. Substitute Champagne for white wine, and it’s called a Kir Royale. With a little Cognac in the mix, the drink becomes even more dashing.
Ingredients
1/2 ounce Cognac
1/4 ounce Crème de Cassis or raspberry liqueur
Champagne or sparkling wine
Instructions
1. Pour Cognac and Crème de Cassis in a Champagne flute. Gradually fill the flute with Champagne or sparkling wine and serve.
