Serve for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick
1 star anise
4 peppercorns
2 pears, peeled, cored and diced
2 cups Greek yogurt
½ cup walnuts, toasted and coarsely chopped
Instructions
1. Combine water, sugar, spices and pears in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until pears are tender, about 10 minutes.
3. Place ½ cup of yogurt into each of 4 serving bowls. Top with pears and a little cooking liquid. Top with walnuts. Serves 4.
